ABOUT THE ACADEMY

The Limassol Crew Academy has specialized in martial arts since 2001 and has one of the most innovative programs in Cyprus. The Academy offers programs in Muay Thai Boxing, KravMaga, Kids Academy (Ages),Women's Self Defense, and Personal Trainings. At the Academy, you will learn habits that will help you develop discipline, healthy lifestyle and a positive mental attitude. Even if you have no martial arts or fitness experience, you are welcome to join our programs. We have a lot of programs that anyone can enjoy, so please come and have a free trial. MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Yannis Ioanou was born on May 7, 1980 in Limassol. From the age of 6 until he was 10 he was engaged in classical sports(instrumental music). He was a football player at the Academy of Apollo and Alice from when he was 10 until he was 16. At the age of 16, his encounter with martial arts was kickboxing.He entered military service with the Special Forces Command in 1998 and had his first contact with Muay Thai his system through the military. For the past 16 years he has taught at a professional level at academies for children and adults.

AWARDS & VICTORIES

Year of 2000

At the 2002 World Muay Thai Championships in Thailand, he won third place and a bronze medal in the75kg division forCyprus, and was one of three athletes who participated in the first Muay Thai mission forCyprus.

Year of 2003

He won third place and a bronze medal at the EuropeanChampionships in Lille, France.
He holds his 13th level of KRU YAI in MUAY THAI.

Year of 2010

Initial contact with the Israeli Krav Maga system. He has been teaching the Krav Maga Self Defense System For his six years and has held his Level 3 Filipino Martial Arts Instructor for his two years under the guidance of Michalis Kossyvakis.
